Dust In The Sun

A "lost masterpiece" of British folk.

It is said that in the summer of 1976, during the long heat, a remarkable record was made in a remote Welsh village.

It was never properly released.
Most copies were lost.
What remains is fragmentary, half-remembered, spoken of more often than heard.

Dust In The Sun is presented as that record.

A sequence of traditional songs, recorded in the manner of the mid-1970s English folk revival, shaped by the conditions of its making and the landscape in which it was set.

Alongside it sits a novel, written from within the same world. Not an adaptation, but a parallel account. The record and the book are twin expressions of the same place, each illuminating the other.

The record is now being issued in its intended form, on vinyl and CD, together with the novel.
