Dust In The Sun

A "lost masterpiece" of British folk.

It is said that in the summer of 1976, during the long heat, a remarkable record was made in a remote Welsh village.

It was never properly released.
Most copies were lost.
What remains is fragmentary, half-remembered, spoken of more often than heard.

Dust In The Sun is presented as that record.

A sequence of traditional songs, recorded in the manner of the mid-1970s English folk revival, shaped by the conditions of its making and the landscape in which it was set.

Alongside it sits a novel, written from within the same world, a parallel account. The record and the book are twin expressions of the same liminal place, each illuminating the other.

The record is now being issued - in its intended form: vinyl, and also as CD and digital download, together with the novel.
